Directions from the North
Travel on I- 91 South to exit 20 Northampton. Take a left at the first traffic light onto Damon Road. Take a left at the next light onto Route 9 East. Pass over the Calvin Coolidge Bridge. Before the Getty Station, bear right onto Old Bay Road. At stop sign, make a right onto Bay Road. After 1.8 miles, take left to follow Bay Road toward Hampshire College/South Amherst. Continue another 2.5 miles to the Museum (on your left).
From Northern Massachusetts/New Hampshire
From Route 2 East or West, take exit 16 (Amherst). Follow Route 202 South approximately 12 miles. Turn right onto Amherst Road, which becomes Main Street. In the center of Amherst, turn left onto Pleasant Street (Route 116 South). Continue for just over 4 miles. Turn right onto West Bay Road in front of Atkins Farms Country Market. Continue 1/4 mile to the Museum (on your right).
From Boston and points East
From Boston, it takes approximately 2 hours to the Museum. Follow Massachusetts Turnpike West to Exit 5 (Chicopee). Off of the Exit bear right, and make a left at the light onto Route 33 North. Continue 4.5 miles to Route 116. Turn right and follow Route 116 North for 7 miles. Turn left onto West Bay Road after Atkins Farms Country Market. Continue 1/4 mile to the Museum (on your right).
From NYC and points South
Take I-91 North to exit 19 Northampton/Amherst. At the end of the exit ramp, take a right onto Route 9 East. Pass over the Calvin Coolidge Bridge. Before the Getty Station, bear right onto Old Bay Road. At the stop sign, make a right onto Bay Road. After 1.8 miles, take left to follow Bay Road toward Hampshire College/South Amherst. Continue another 2.5 miles to the Museum (on your left).
From Albany and points West
Follow I-90 into Massachusetts where it becomes the Massachusetts Turnpike. Take Exit 4 (West Springfield, Route I-91) onto Route I-91 North Take I-91 North to exit 19 Northampton/Amherst. At the end of the exit ramp, take a right onto Route 9 East. Pass over the Calvin Coolidge Bridge. Before the Getty Station, bear right onto Old Bay Road. At the stop sign, make a right onto Bay Road. After 1.8 miles, take left to follow Bay Road toward Hampshire College/South Amherst. Continue another 2.5 miles to the Museum (on your left).
